Capturing Memories in Resin
My latest commission challenge involved creating pieces which would be given as special remembrance gifts for family members, including five adults and six grandchildren, mainly using assorted jewelry pieces belonging to their loved one. My client suggested suncatchers or shadow boxes but was eager to see what I could create.
My first thought was to make a paperweight using using one or two of the pieces. I researched working in resin which was a new medium for me and began to experiment – the creations grew from there.
